Integrated Function Software for a Sustainable Architecture.
Integrated Function Software for a Sustainable Architecture.
The Design and development of an experimental software prototype to assist professionals from the sector in the design and rehabilitation of buildings with lower energy consumption, less greenhouse gas emissions and a better environmental impact throughout their life cycle.
The software will combine the functions of evaluation, ecological design assistance and the issuance of energy and environmental certificates. It will take into account the methods for calculating the building's energy performance during the use phase and the energy certificates for buildings that are currently applicable, although they lack a life cycle perspective.
This software will be a next step to assess energy consumption, the carbon footprint and other environmental impacts with a life cycle perspective, using this information to, on the one hand, reduce these impacts and, on the other, to issue certificates to inform and raise awareness among the users of the buildings.
General coordinator of the project, main partner and developer of the software. In charge of the definition and development of the project's basic ontology, along with the implementation of LCA and LCCA calculations in the possible assessment stages (design, project and use) of the different elements that are part of the SOFIAS model.
